Vicki joined Thornhill Pet Hospital in October of 2010 as our full time receptionist. Vicki has a great deal of passion for all animals and enjoys talking to our clients about their pets. She has a house full of birds, including cockatiels, parakeets, and even a pet pigeon named Peetie. Her love of birds started when she was a little girl and her grandfather took her to Lake Merritt.
Although Gerardo has been an employee of this hospital for 5 years, he brings 24 years of varied experience in the Veterinary field to Thornhill Pet Hospital. Gerardo has specialized training and certifications in Dentistry, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Soft-tissue and Orthopaedic Surgical Nursing, Emergency and Critical Care, and of course, General Veterinary Nursing and Surgical Assisting. One of his passions is passing on the multitude of experiences, and training that he has acquired in those disciplines to the Nursing teams that he has worked with, and managed.
In addition to the countless Animal patients, and Nurses that Gerardo has served in the private sector, he has also been the Program Director and Managing Instructor for the San Jose Campus of Western Career College's Veterinary Technology Program for 4 of his 24 years in this fascinating field. His other passion is the two Boston Terriers that own him and allow him the pleasure of caring for them, Harlee and recently deceased Stella (right).
